Charles Duhigg's Supercommunicators is one of my favorite books, and it connects straight to the listening and management skills I coach. I lay out the habits that separate the people others walk away from feeling understood: knowing which of the three conversations you're actually in, matching before you steer, asking deeper questions, and proving you're listening by looping. None of it is innate, which means anyone can build it. I also own up to where I still get it wrong. |
