Often it’s hard to find stability. For organizations, building stability, a foundation, consistency or whatever you’d call it is critical for planning. How can we prepare if we don’t have any clue about what is ahead of us?

Annual Strategic Planning

The mental trap is thinking you can’t do any annual strategic planning unless you have 100% stability. This is where an exercise of effective annual strategic planning plays such an important role in an organization’s ability to predict. Do you have to have all the answers to plan for the future? Absolutely not. But, do you need to know what you can know, what you can’t know and where to find all the information to make informed decisions? Absolutely.

Dig deep, know your numbers, find patterns, base your future in reality. Start somewhere (anywhere) and keep improving. Make a commitment to yourself and your organization that next year will be more predictable.

To your future,

Ryan

As always, if there is anything you find and think it would be interesting to share, please send it my way. I’m incomplete and constantly seeking further understanding. Also, if you think someone else would enjoy this email, forward it on.
